Welcome to my Blog

Updated: Aug 27, 2023

Hello beautiful soul. I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Anima Pacha

I was called by the Spirit to start writing a Blog. This new journey will hopefully help me to reconnect with my self-expression through writing, but most of all, I hope that it may inspire some people. Writing used to be a very natural process to me in order to express how I feel, but somewhere down the line, I began withdrawing myself from this practice. Often time, I feel that words can never truly describe how the soul feels at any present moment, and yet it is so worth trying to express the emotions. It is also important to mention that English is not my native language as I was born and raised in Lithuania, so I do apologise for any spelling mistakes :)

I hope to share a little bit more about my journey through life and why I follow the Shamanic ways as well as how this path has enlightened the space within me and outside of me. Every single day is a true miracle and I am deeply grateful to still be here in the form that I am.

My spiritual revelation began after I had a rock climbing fall in 2015. Soon after this accident, I realised that if I were to continue on the path that I was at that time, it might have led to the end of my existence and it was a truly scary thought. The Universe has presented me with an amazing opportunity to go to Peru and work with the traditional healers and various plant medicines in order to heal the physical ailments that I was struggling at that time, but also to help me overcome the depression that I suffered with for years. I spent 3 weeks in the Amazon jungle participating in various rituals and ceremonies. It was one of the most difficult periods of my life as I had to deal with various demons that were haunting me for years. I returned home a completely changed person and will be forever grateful to the plant teachers as well as the local healers for showing me how the human mind that creates all life struggles can be transformed from darkness to light.

Upon my arrival back to Scotland in 2015, I soon joined Edinburgh Shamanic Centre to train in their Shamanic Practitioners training which lasted for 3 years. I am so grateful to Mark and Claudia (my teachers) for holding that space and teaching me new ways of living this life in balance with Nature. The relationship between mind, body, and soul is a dominating factor in our lives. In ancient times, it was believed that ailments, both physical and mental, were caused by damage to the soul and could be healed by spiritual rejuvenation, using methods such as shamanic healing. Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition and moreover, a way of life. It is a way to connect with nature and all of creation. The word shaman originates from the Tungus tribe in Siberia. Anthropologists coined this term and have used it to refer to the spiritual and ceremonial leaders among indigenous cultures worldwide. The word shamanism can be used to describe the ancient spiritual practices of these indigenous cultures.

And so the journey began toward self-realisation and a state of mind that is free of suffering.

I hope that by sharing my own journey through life it may inspire some people to re-connect with the spirit of Nature and live a more balanced life.

Thank you for reading this post.

I send all my love and blessings to you in this present moment

Ilona
